I would recommend looking at some of the stock pitches on this site (do a search) and adapting one of those. But you normally don’t pitch entire industries – it’s much easier to pick a specific company and then use industry growth/market share stats to support your pick.

Do you have any suggestions on how I could create a one page pitch on a potential industry for a search fund acquisition? I have limited knowledge in finance, but I want to spin this off during a search fund interview.
Thanks.

That’s about all you can do if you are already a senior. The usual path to intern at a large bank during the summer and convert it into a full-time offer isn’t available at this stage. You could potentially aim for off-cycle roles at large banks post-graduation, but these are much more common in Europe than the US (not sure of your region).

Given the current dismal hiring environment, you may also want to consider some options beyond IB… depending on how much networking you’ve already done.

I’m currently a senior at a non target doing a search fund internship right now, my responsibilities include creating an LBO model + ad hoc work.

If I were to get another search fund/boutique IB internship in Jan/Feb, would that be the best case scenario? I’m set to graduate this spring and I understand that the most likely path of breaking into IB would be to enter a regional boutique than lateral.

Would there be anything else that you recommend that I take action towards?

Thank you,
Maxime
