In reply to Mike. I think "sales" is probably the best option here because trading is now quite quantitative and less of the "frat boy" atmosphere that it used to be. Banking is usually for more reserved/docile people until you reach the top levels. If you want to be social and outgoing at work, look at institutional sales roles.

Hi Brian,
As an outgoing and social person, enjoy being with fun and chill people, will S?T just be the better fit for me? Or IB can still be an option despite most work will keep the nose to the grindstone as you mentioned?
I’m currently working on a trading role but always wonder working in projects and deals might be more interesting with less routine stuff.

In reply to Om. The FRM does not help at all for trading, as it's related to risk management, not risk-taking / P&L-generating roles. Also, MBA programs in general do not help much for S&T roles. I can't say much more without knowing at least some of your background information.
